Supporting the Financial Controller in completing basic bookkeeping, clerical and accounting tasks for our Benelux organization. The Jr Financial Controller will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Support month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with GL account specifications.
Prepare VAT filings for the Netherlands and Belgium.
Manage the full A/P process: record and reconcile invoices and expense reports, coordinate with departments, manage vendor information, and ensure timely and compliant payments.
Process employee expense reports and resolve discrepancies with employees when needed.
Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate any variances.
Collaborate closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure smooth closing cycles and improve overall workflows.
Identify process improvement opportunities and stay up to date with relevant Benelux accounting regulations and financial principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within a Benelux environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Able to work independently while maintaining a proactive, hands-on attitude.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g., Sage).
Fluent in both English & Dutch is mandatory (French is a strong plus).
