We are seeking a Revenue Controller (Business Controller) to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex financial operations, reviewing contracts of varying complexity, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Sales, Product, Legal, and external auditors to drive financial accuracy and support business growth.

What are you going to do? 

  • Review and analyze master agreements and contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance;

  • Perform detailed product and revenue analyses to validate accounting treatment;

  • Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals;

  • Monitor financial plans and provide insights into revenue trends for strategic decision-making;

  • Lead/participate in cross-functional discussions with Sales, Product Leaders, Relationship Managers, and HQ departments to recommend contract structures that balance customer and business needs;

  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and company policies;

  • Participate in projects from inception to completion, providing actionable financial insights and recommendations;

  • Internal controls on processes such as billing & reconciliations and between several data sources such as ERP, EPM and CRM;

  • Focus on subscription and recurring revenue models, relevant for SaaS/data-driven businesses like D&B;

  • Monitor revenue KPI’s such as ARR and ARPU.

What do you bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred);

  • 3 - 5+ years of financial experience, with proven expertise in revenue accounting and revenue recognition;

  • Fluent in English and good In Dutch;

  • Experience reviewing multi-elements, complex contracts, and agreements;

  • Strong business acumen and ability to work in partnership with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product, Legal);

  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP, and advanced Excel skills;

  • Experience with BI and reporting tools;

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment;

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with experience of consulting with auditors and stakeholders;

  • Familiarity with revenue reporting in Software and Data delivery is a plus.
